About
After years of working in the tech world, Areg Maghakian quit his job and went on a quest to unplug.
During this journey, he rediscovered his passion for tabletop games.
After seeing an example of a successful board game cafe while traveling in Canada, he was inspired to open his own brick and mortar shop.
Maghakian met his business partner, Derek DeSantis, online and in 2015, they opened their very own shop: The Victory Point Cafe.
A year later, they bought the building next door and expanded the space.
Ever since then, it’s been a place where a diverse group of people can enjoy Maghakian’s three favorite things: coffee, beer and games.
